These 3 events are only open to Healthy Lifestyles participants from Salt Lake County Government. Thank you for your understanding.
Caregiver Talking Points are skill-building discussions that assist family and other non-professional caregivers manage the challenges of care. Healthy Lifestyles participants may sign up for one or all of these sessions.
Tuesdays at 1:00 PM
- July 16 – Understanding Behaviors. Explore the difference between a person's normal life behaviors and the behavior changes associated with a disease, illness, or medication. Learn to track and report changes to professionals so support can be more effective.
- July 23 – Calming Behaviors. Learn skills and tools that help create calm environments and minimize behavior escalation, so that behavior management is less likely or required.
- July 30 – Working with Behaviors. Explore options when all you can do is not enough. Learn the difference between coping, guiding, and managing behaviors. Find the value and effectiveness in all three of these behavior responses.
