Affordable Senior Housing in SF -- Learn if You are Eligible & How to Apply

Join us to find out about two types of affordable housing in San Francisco:

Joy Ng from Bayanihan Equity Center (BEC) will cover eligibility requirements to help you determine if you can apply for SF's senior or BMR housing. She'll also explain how to find housing opportunities and the application process through SF's DAHLIA online portal. She'll also explain how a housing counselor can  help you with the application process. If you're curious if you are eligible, want to understand how the SF senior and BMR housing process works, want a reality check on chances of getting a unit, or have questions about how to get help, you won't want to miss this Zoom!

Presenter:  Joy Ng is a Housing Caseworker at Bayanihan Equity Center (BEC), and has six years of experience assisting seniors and adults with disabilities with housing applications, housing interviews, evictions, advocacy for tenants rights, and other concerns. Joy was born and raised in San Francisco, speaks three languages, and studied at San Francisco State University.

Senior Housing Waitlist Lottery (deadline 3/17/22) - there is currently a senior housing lottery open on Dahlia at Presentation Senior Community at 301 Ellis St. for the waitlist for subsidized housing. If you are interested in applying and need assistance, Bayanihan Equity Center (BEC) can provide free application assistance to help you fill out and submit the applications.
